Bundles

Bundles are are called situations when you deliver more than 1 order at the same time. It is a great way to utilise your time and earn even more than when delivering one task at the time.

The number of bundles can vary depending on amount of orders placed with restaurants, all optimised for the most efficient route, enabling you to deliver faster and available for next available task.

How does bundling work for you?

You might get multiple orders from one restaurant or venue.

First blue point indicates restaurant where 2 orders are ready for collection and scheduled pickup is in 5 minutes.

After picking up, you head to deliver the first order to the first green point. Once you've dropped off that order, the system found another order (blue point), and this process continues. Green points are where you drop off orders, while blue points are where you pick them up.

Task selection

‘‘Plan and prepare well before going online: food, drink, clothes.’’ - M.T.

‘‘I set realistic targets for myself: yearly, monthly, and weekly. I track my progress weekly, and then if one week doesn’t hit the target, I will deliver more next week to get the monthly target back on track.’’ - E.K.

‘‘Pay attention to which days of the week have the most orders, and don’t miss out on the action. Usually, there are more orders when customers get paid, which is usually 1st and 30th/31st of each month and bad weather.’’ - R.L.

‘‘I recommend having both a money target and a time target for when to go online. Things get busier around lunch and dinner, so there are more tasks. If you go online outside those peak hours, you'll find fewer tasks. Lunchtime is

especially busy compared to the quieter 2-4 pm slot.’’ - O.O.

‘‘When it's busy, I prefer short tasks because I can come back quickly to the hotspot area. However, I don't want to miss out on orders when it's quieter. So I accept long-distance tasks as well.’’ - V.A.

‘‘I diversify my tasks because taking only long or short-distance tasks is not guaranteed to yield more earnings. If a short-distance task is ready in less than 5 minutes, I accept those tasks even if the earnings per task are not what I expected.’’ - K.N.

‘‘I always read customer notes to deliver the order as quickly as possible. For example, the customer might have written their door code to the notes.’’ - L.K.

‘‘It’s good to check in advance where the task is going to be delivered so that you can make your own informed decision if you want to accept the task.’’ - A.V.

‘‘When I started as a courier, I often needed some help. Luckily, the support team was always there to help. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is important to learn from them so that in the future, there is no need to lose time by contacting support.’’ - A.H.

‘‘I try to be punctual so I don’t waste my time or money. It’s good to double-check that the order number is correct, even if the venue employee gives the order. Focusing fully on delivering makes me quick without rushing. In that way, I can be more efficient and faster.’’ - P.K.

‘‘I am always mindful of where to park the car. If I don't know the area, I check where the free parking spaces are. I do it even if I need to walk for 5-10 minutes. This is how I avoid getting tickets. It's also good for me physically to walk a bit when I have sat for longer in the car.’’ - K.B.

‘‘I always try to look happy and presentable when meeting customers. By presenting myself nicely, I can positively affect the customers. In addition, I am always mindful of using a heating bag. When customers get warm food, they are happy and might give tips.’’ - S.W.

‘‘I deliver both with a car and an e-scooter, depending on the season. I recommend investing in an electric car if you have the possibility. It has been cheaper than a gasoline car.’’ - Z.M.

‘‘Doing deliveries fulfills me; I get so much happiness when I can help customers, especially elderly customers, to get their food warm and on time.’’ - S.W.

‘‘Regardless of what vehicle I deliver with, safety comes first. When I deliver with an e-scooter/bike, I make sure to have front and back lights when it’s dark, and I always wear a helmet to protect myself. In addition, it is important to have reflectors on you so that other drivers or pedestrians can see you. I always follow the traffic rules to avoid dangerous situations for me or others around me.’’ - F.C.

‘‘I have made delivering to be one of my passions. However, like in everything, there are sometimes also bad days, but it’s important to keep a positive mindset and don’t let the bad days affect you too much.’’ - K.S.

‘‘I have downloaded the Wolt consumer app and check it every day. There are a lot of insights that can help decide where to wait for tasks. For example, if there are good offers from a certain restaurant, customers usually order more from there.’’ - L.H.

‘‘Some areas are busier than others. Try to be in a central area close to the most popular venues and check the area's demand. I recommend being proactive, avoiding waiting for tasks from specific areas, driving a bit around, and if there are other hotspots (busy areas) good to check it out.’’ - H.K.

‘‘Familiarise yourself with the city you deliver in and try to memorise the addresses. This will be a huge asset in the future for you, as it saves your time and makes deliveries smoother.’’ - J.J.

‘‘Grasp the momentum. Even though the daily target I have set for myself is not achieved.’’ - I.L.

‘‘When I see that it's quiet in the city, I use that time to go to the gym and have lunch. I talk with other courier partners, call my family, listen to the news, and watch Netflix. Sometimes, I park the car in a free parking spot, walk around to get some fresh air, and move the body.’’ - A.H.

Efficiency FAQ

  • There are typically two “peaks” in a day, when there are most orders available. These would be the lunch peak (around 11:00 to 13:00) and dinner peak (around 17:30 to 20:30). By coming online during these peak hours, you maximize your potential earnings, as there would be most tasks available during these times.

It’s a good idea to come online early enough in time for the peaks to maximize the potential. For example, going online a bit before 10:45 helps you maximise your earnings during the lunch peak. It's also a good idea to keep close to "hot spots" (usually in the center of the city, where most of the venues are located) to maximize the potential of receiving tasks.

  • Courier Partners can view their accumulated earnings at all times in the Courier Partner app.

Open Wolt Partner App → Menu → Statistics.

  • Check out our hotspot section to get an idea where is best to be!

  • Bundles are when you have multiple orders at the same time. You can have up to 3 orders at the same time.

The amount of bundles can change according to how busy it is and can vary from asking you to pick an order up and drop it off right after, to asking you to pick up several orders and delivering them in mixed order depending on the optimal route.

    For example:

    Pickup order number 1

    Pickup order number 2

    Dropoff order number 1

    Dropoff order number 2

Earnings FAQ

  • At Wolt, we are committed to ensuring that couriers who engage with our platform have access to attractive earnings. We use a data-driven approach to adjust our pricing model, taking into account the effort required for deliveries, market conditions, and feedback from couriers delivering on our platform

  • If a customer chooses to add tips to their order payment, all tips will automatically be transferred to the courier who delivered the order. Tips are intended as a direct way for customers to show appreciation for excellent service.

We are working on additional means customers can use to reward Courier Partners for a great job!

  • We're always improving fairness to make sure that each task fee reflects the effort and time needed to complete the delivery. As our platform gets more efficient, couriers can finish orders more quickly, which allows our algorithm to adjust task fees accordingly. Tasks that need less time and effort might be priced a bit lower than before, while those that require more effort could have higher fees.

  • Courier Partners have full freedom to choose how and when to deliver with Wolt. This also means that Wolt cannot guarantee a specific amount of delivery tasks, but you can see the status of your city in your app before you go online. If the app is "normal" or "busy" you will have a good chance of being offered more orders to deliver leading to more earnings!

  • There are many factors that affect how the system calculates individual fees. Example of such factors are weather, traffic, busyness, time of the day and effort involved to deliver the task. We continuously work on visibility of these factors!
