Please review the information below to ensure that you handle food safely and hygienically while transporting it from our venue partners to the customers.


Personal Hygiene and Fitness to Work 

As a food delivery courier partner, it's crucial to adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Please make sure that you handle the food you're delivering from our venue partners with care to ensure it remains safe throughout the entire journey to customers. You should also avoid delivering if you suffer from any of the following symptoms:

  • Signs of gastrointestinal infection, such as diarrhoea and vomiting

  • Skin infections that cannot be covered, including open sores and wounds

What else you can do to keep food safe?

  • Washing your clothing regularly 

  • Maintaining good personal hygiene and disinfecting your hands regularly

Why do we use thermal bags?

To keep our customers happy and their food safe we need to be aware of why thermal bag has to be in use. The main reasons are: 

  • Contamination and cross-contamination prevention

  • Food temperature and quality control

Please remember that our insulated delivery bag has to be used for all food deliveries. This will keep the food safe and at the right temperature. The Department of Health requires this for food safety reasons, and our customers trust us to deliver great quality food.. 

  • Avoid storing bag in places accessible to pets or next to chemicals.

  • Pay extra attention to the folding and joint areas of the bags where food can get stuck without being noticed.

  • Regular dish soap is the best option and should do the job!

In case your delivery bag becomes too dirty and you deem it unusable for delivery purposes,  you can exchange the bag at our following cleaning partners:

If your bag has any kind of damage to its silver insulation, please contact the Operations team through Wolt Partner app as soon as possible. We will organise a replacement for you.

How can you control Food Safety risks?

  • Restaurant have the right to not hand over order if you don’t have a bag.

  • Always remember that our support is here to help via phone or chat.

  • All food must be properly sealed. Contact Support for help if necessary.

  • This is to protect quality of the food and reduce chance of contamination.

  • Avoid smoking, vaping or allowing pets in your vehicle while delivering food.

  • Avoid placing your bag on bins or floor while waiting or packing your order.

Please note that blue courier thermal bags shall not be used for personal purposes! Laws and regulations must be followed at all times.

Remember to always take the bag into the venue and to the customer’s door.

Please never leave the bag in your vehicle when delivering to the customer!

  • As a courier, you'll have the opportunity to receive "bundled tasks," enabling you to deliver multiple orders at the same time. Having two bags will allow you to store cold and hot food separately and provide more space for all the orders you receive.

  • Cold foods such as ice cream or salads don't travel well when placed near a heat source. Similarly, hot foods don't benefit from being next to cold items, as their temperature can drop rapidly. By keeping foods separate, we ensure that customers receive the highest quality products.

  • Of course! You can order extra bags on woltgear.is. Please note that the cost of the bag will be deducted from your account in the form of a deposit.

  • Contact us through Support Chat and we will guide you through the process :)

  • Contact us through the Wolt Partner app and we will help you with replacement.

  • Use food-safe chemicals like dish soap and thoroughly wash both the interior and exterior of the bag using a soft side of sponge.
